Privacy Policy & Data Protection

  1. The handling and protection of the personal data of the visitor of the website rcph.gr (hereinafter referred to as "PP") is subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy as well as to the provisions of national, Community and international law on the protection of the individual with regard to the processing of personal data, as applicable. The PAPAGEORGIOU General Hospital (GP) reserves the right to change the terms of personal data protection, in accordance with the relevant legal framework in force at any given time. Accordingly, these privacy terms may be revised and updated at any time and without notice.
  2. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As of 29-08-2019, Law 4624/2019 (Government Gazette 137 A') is in force and applied in adaptation and harmonization with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) of 25.5.2018, as well as the Directive (EU 2016/680) of the European Parliament, which strengthens the framework for the protection of data subjects with regard to the processing of personal data in the European Union. The IT, with respect to personal data, complies with the General Data Protection Regulation and the applicable national legislation in the context of its activity and purpose and takes the foreseen and available technical and organizational measures as provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation and the Greek legislation by extension.   3. Personal Data at the DT. The GNP collects personal data of visitors to the DT only when users voluntarily provide them for the purpose of registering for activities such as the Newsletter & the form for voluntary participation in clinical trials. Personal information is information that can be used to identify or contact an individual or any other information about that individual.
  4. Statements. The GNP will not make available for sale or otherwise disclose or publish personal data of the visitor of the DT to third parties without the consent of the visitor, except for the purpose of applying relevant legal dictates and to the competent authorities only. The GNP may process part or all of the data sent by visitors/users for statistical purposes and for the improvement of the services - information provided by the DT.
  5. Cookies. The PGH may collect identifying information about the users of the DT using associated technologies, such as cookies and/or Internet Protocol (IP) address tracking. More information about the DT's Cookies Policy is provided in the corresponding section.
  6. The DT may contain links to other websites which are under the responsibility of third parties ("individuals" or legal entities). Under no circumstances is the owner or administrator of the DT responsible for the terms of protection of personal data which these websites follow.

The Visitors may contact the Data Controller in order to exercise their rights foreseen in the applicable European and national legislation, such as information, access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability and objection. The visitor has the right to report to the Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr), which is the supervisory authority responsible for protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals with regard to the processing of their personal data.
